Day 72

Breakfast: tea, bran muffin, Seckle pear.

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Day 71

I love these narrow little houses.

Also, this was the only picture in which you couldn't see the edge of my umbrella - guess I need to work on framing.

Day 70

Tiger.

I am suffering from photo malaise, brought on in part, I think, but the lack of daylight. Yay Portland!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Day 69

Morning classes make for good light - view of trees, library and construction from the third floor of Neuberger Hall.

Monday, October 26, 2009

Day 68

This is what I affectionately like to term "controlled chaos." Emphasis on chaos.

This blog is to document a year of my life in pictures - well, this is life, at the moment.

Day 67

Another cat+Matt moment. So much for daylight...

Day 66

Chuck is entering Midnight Hellion Mode.

I'm going to try to take a picture during daylight hours tomorrow, promise.

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Day 65

Guess who's in charge in this house? In case there was every any wondering, that is...

Day 64

Blogger, for reasons unknown, was not letting me in last night, so you get Thursday's picture on Friday... um, Saturday, I guess. Ooops - more behind than I thought I was.

Without further ado, I present:
Chuck, "helping" Matt study.

Day 63

Late night cat photo! Whoo!

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Day 62

Tiny Pear meets Giant Apple.

Monday, October 19, 2009

Day 61

Still-life of tamp with milk pitcher. Nice, reflective items for nasty overhead lighting.

Day 60

Fallen leaves, moss, and Frye boots. Three of my favourite things.

Doesn't it kind of looking like I'm floating?

Saturday, October 17, 2009

Day 59

Breakfast: tea, french toast with sauteed apples and pears. Okay, let's be real: sauteed apples and pears with a little french toast. Three-to-one ratio of fruit to bread is ideal, really.

Friday, October 16, 2009

Day 58

Chives once flourished here, and oregano. Now their dry husks are fodder for Late Night (ish) Reflection Fun!

That bookshelf, by the way, is all cookbooks. I think I have a problem.

Thursday, October 15, 2009

Day 57

Little cat paws (poorly lit).

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Day 56

Tiny pears are tastiest. Fact.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

Day 55

Souvenirs from my walk home.

Monday, October 12, 2009

Day 54

Foliage!

And that sky isn't blue and sunny, it's all grey and patchy. Trust me on this one.

Sunday, October 11, 2009

Day 53

Breakfast: orange & dried cranberry scone, multiple cups of tea (only 1 pictured).

According to the weather report, The Rain is about to start. See you in February, sunshine.

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Day 52

I am a little bit in love with the left-hand house in this picture. It was for sale a few months back (haha) and it's been empty for a while now. It looks like it ought to be lived in.

The tree in front of it is pretty amazing, too, and the leaves on the tips of all of its branches are turning a brilliant yellow.

Day 51

I know, I know - another cat picture. I forgot my camera today, so by the time I remembered to take a picture, Chuck was the only model I had. No excuse, I know. Don't worry - tomorrow there will be pictures of leaves, or something.

Thursday, October 8, 2009

Day 50

Chuck actually likes this, believe it or not. And my ears are actually not blurry in real life.

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Day 49

Some sort of lantern something going on at the art museum downtown, spotted it on my way home from campus.

I think it might be a long quarter, in that whirlwind, oh-god-there-aren't-enough-hours-in-the-day-no-time-to-breathe sort of way.

Tuesday, October 6, 2009

Day 48

On campus, waiting for Matt.

Monday, October 5, 2009

Day 47

Macro fun with what I think might be crabapples, but I actually have no idea. I make a terrible country girl if I can't identify a crabapple, don't I?

Back in Portland, by the way, so no more concert photos or pictures of San Franciscan bikes adorned with flowers for the moment.

Sunday, October 4, 2009

Day 46

A San Francisco bike (as opposed to a Portland bike - please note the unsuitability of the flowers to the daily commute, as opposed to the discreet plastic animal, as seen here). On a brief break between viewing Billy Bragg and Neko Case on Day Three of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.

I am music festivaled out.

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Day 45

Old 97's on the Towers of Gold Stage on Day 2 of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (though it was the first day we went). Pretty awesome, though they were better when Matt and I saw them at Wonder Ballroom in Portland. Okkervil River, who played right before the Old 97's, and were also fantastic.

I am looking forward to seeing Billy Bragg and Neko Case tomorrow!

Friday, October 2, 2009

Day 44

Made my first ring today (though to be fair, my dad did most of the hard bits, like soldering the double-twist onto the bezel and sizing it when I'd made the shank too short) and I only hurt myself once (with the bezel-pusher).

Thursday, October 1, 2009

Day 43

Taken out of the car window on the drive home from Por Que No.
